The next step of the big adventure
During the first days everyone settled near the bay. The next step of the journey for the Welsh was moving to Chubut Valley.
It was decided that this would happen one step at a time – everyone would move there at different times.
The first to go to Chubut Valley were a group of young men. They had to walk forty miles across the desert before getting to the valley. They had to clear mounds of thorns and brambles to make a path for everyone else. Once the path was cleared it would be possible for the rest to follow.
