  • Sea food is also popular in Wales. You can find different fish and other sea foods such as cockles along the coast of Wales. Bara lawr (laverbread) is a traditional Welsh sea food, made from a type of seaweed. Both cockles and bara lawr are ingredients in a traditional Welsh breakfast.
  • Bara brith and welsh cakes are traditional to Wales as well. These are sweet and usually contain dried fruits.
  • Other dishes that are traditinoal in Wales are Welsh rarebit (a kind of cheese on toast), Glamorgan sausage (a vegetarian sausage made up of cheese, leeks and breadcrumbs), faggots (a special kind of meatball) and cawl (a broth of meat and vegetables).
