Choirs

• Singing is an important part of the Welsh Patagonians' identity. There is a big tradition of choral singing there.
• There are many Welsh choirs in the Wladfa, as in Wales.
• The choirs in Wales compete against each other in the National and Urdd Eisteddfod each year. The competing can get very exciting!

Welsh bands

• Wales has many talented Welsh bands.
• The bands sing all different kinds of music - from rock and folk, to electronic and pop music.
• Some of the most famous artists are Super Furry Animals, Gorky's Zygotic Mynci, Race Horses, Edward H Dafis and Meic Stevens.
• There is a radio station in Wales called Radio Cymru. Radio Cymru has many different DJ's and plays Welsh music all day!
• There are also many festivals each year, where music lovers will camp to enjoy a weekend of live music.
