Argentinian Football

Football is very popular in South America.

Argentina’s national team has been much more successful than Wales and has won the World Cup twice (in 1978 and 1986).

Argentina reached the World Cup Final in 2014, but Germany won the game 1-0 in extra time.

One of the stars of the Argentina team is the goalkeeper, Sergio Romero, who was born in the province of Misiones but was raised in Comodoro Rivadavia in Patagonia.

Here's a picture of him saving a penalty against the Netherlands in the semi-final of the 2014 World Cup.
