Tea rooms in Patagonia

Gaiman, a town in Patagonia, is famous for its tea rooms. Tea rooms like the ones in Gaiman are also to be seen in other towns in Patagonia. These tea rooms have been influenced by Welsh traditions that the first Welsh settlers brought over.

These tea rooms sell traditional Welsh foods such as welsh cakes and bara brith. They also sell the torta negra, which is a unique black fruit cake in Patagonia. They also sell panqueques in these tea rooms, which are pancakes filled with sugar or apples.

The tea rooms are decorated with decorations from Wales, for example posters, photographs and Welsh tea towels.
